You can make it happen with Elite Athletic Development’s Endurance Athlete training program.

For more than seven years, our innovative approach to skills development, training, recovery and nutrition have helped our athletes to first time finishes, new PR’s and podium places, while doing half the volume of traditional training programs. The key to EAD’s Endurance Athlete training program is intensity, not duration.

Exercise Physiologists, elite athletes and top-level coaches know that the body adapts to imposed demand. If the demand isn’t sufficient, the body won’t adapt to levels needed to reach one’s goals. High intensity training bouts of short duration will produce the desired adaptation with a minimum of breakdown of the physical systems involved. While we believe that long runs/rides are still beneficial from a psychological and physical tempering standpoint, they should make up only a very small part of the program rather than its bulk.

This is what we know and have proven:

  • Better overall athletes make better swimmers, runners, cyclists, and triathletes.
  • Athletes with full-range mobility are better athletes.
  • Train like you race, race like you train.
  • Short, high intensity training elicits a better adaptation than long, slow training.

    sports psychology, mobility, strength, power and endurance are all pieces of the puzzle.

  • Training long and slow means you will race long and slow.


Endurance Athlete Coaching.

Research shows that people who work with an experienced professional coach are more likely to avoid common barriers to achieving their goal, like disappointing results, boredom and burnout. Jim Inman, head performance coach and endurance sports specialist at Elite Athletic Development, will make the difference in your race season. Jim is a 30-year endurance sports veteran. He is certified by USA Cycling, USA Triathlon, USA Weightlifting and CrossFit, and he is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. As an accomplished endurance athlete, Jim understands your drive. As a professional coach, he knows how to help you turn your drive into results.


EAD offers CompuTrainer sessions for the serious racer or recreational rider. Billed as “the most interesting indoor bike experience yet created”, CompuTrainer rides will increase your cycling power by 20 percent to 30 percent, and your speed by two to four mph. USA Triathlon and USA Cycling test and train their team athletes with CompuTrainer.
